An Army of Robot Dinosaurs is published by Masked Fox Productions, which is wholly owned by bestselling sci-fi author and business founder Aaron Pogue. As it happens, Aaron is also the lead designer, developer, and distributor.

Aaron Pogue

Best-known as the author of Taming Fire and Surveillance, Aaron is also the founder of Draft2Digital, the world’s leading digital self-publishing service.

Aaron has been in love with video games since his childhood, playing on a Commodore 64 with his dad. These days he’s actively developing a new gaming platform, but in the meantime, he’s rolled out An Army of Robot Dinosaurs using existing platforms.

You’ll see the wit of Aaron’s worldbuilding in every scene of the game. You’ll even see his book catalog make a little cameo if you play far enough.

In addition to making companies, games, and sci-fi series, Aaron is an active contributor on Twitter. For a heavy dose of lateral thinking, swing by his page.

Xander

Xander (11) is Aaron’s son and primary collaborator on this project. Shouldering the roles of both art director and animator, Xander contributed the tileset art that provides the game’s background and much of the spritesheet art that gives the characters animated movements.

Xander’s early experiments with game development software were the inspiration for this project, and only his ongoing contribution made it possible.
